The Luminous Playhouse Theater Company at Proteus Gowanus

I’m very pleased to have been invited to participate in the spring 2011 group exhibition at the wonderful Proteus Gowanus gallery in Brooklyn. A dioramic installation based on and using sets and props from The Luminous Playhouse Theater Company will be part of the gallery’s “Paradise 3,” the final exhibition in their year-long exploration of the concept of paradise. The gallery will also have copies of a limited edition hand-bound booklet of Luminous prints.

The opening reception for Paradise 3 is Saturday, April 16, 2011, from 7 to 9 pm. The exhibition runs through July 16.

Proteus Gowanus is “an interdisplinary gallery and reading room named for the Greek sea god of change and the adjacent Gowanus Canal.” You enter the gallery from a beautiful and mysterious alleyway, and step into a lively world of creative collaboration.
